Spiritless | Old Fashion
I’ll be honest, I used to write off zero-proof spirits completely. My first run-in was back in 2019 when my sister-in-law was pregnant and it’s taken six years to give them another shot. But the category has grown up and Spiritless proves it. Their old fashion is crafted using their 'Kentucky 74' NA spirit and it's become a staple in our house.
Vibe Check:
Smooth, oaky, and very reminiscent of the real thing.
What You’re Getting:
Spiritless Kentucky 74 is a still, oak-forward zero-proof "bourbon" made for mixing. It’s sweet but restrained, with real whiskey character. Spiritless touts notes of caramel, vanilla, and smoke. NA spirit-based mocktails just have more structure, while a lot of competitors feel like sodas trying to taste like cocktails. If you’re craving a non-alc Old Fashioned, this is a great choice.
How We’d Drink It:
I poured it over a large cube, added a dash of bitters, expressed an orange peel, and called it a night. Having said that, it’s solid straight out of the can as well.
