Recess | Classic Cosmo
I remember when Recess first started popping up what feels like a decade ago, right in the middle of the CBD boom. Their branding immediately stood out, but if I’m being honest, the early drinks didn’t quite do it for me — and they stayed off my radar for a while.
Lately, though, Recess has seriously expanded their lineup with magnesium drinks, mocktails, and even powders. I finally decided to give their mocktails a shot and… wow. The Cosmo hits just right.
Vibe Check
Recess has really dialed in a low-sugar Cosmo substitute that’s actually more versatile than the real thing. It works just as well as a refreshing solo sip as it does alongside appetizers or dinner.
What You’re Getting
Light yet satisfying. You could crush it quickly, but it’s much better savored. Bright and citrus-forward, low in sugar, perfectly carbonated. This is an easy win if you like crisp, refreshing mocktails.
How We’d Drink It
It’s a 12oz can, and while part of me wants this served up in a chilled Nick & Nora, it really shines over ice in a Collins (or Rocks) glass. Bonus points for a glass straw (my wife swears by it). Perfect for winding down on the porch, inside on the couch, or while chatting with friends.
